Bernie Williams To Play Good Counsel Homes Benefit Show At St. George Theatre

Bernie is playing a benefit concert for Good Counsel Homes at the St. George Theatre on Saturday, October 15.  He plans to play some of his originals as well as some cover tunes – should be a good show!

Bernie Williams to play Charity Softball Game and Concert in Ridgefield, CT

Two events, one day – all Bernie Williams!

Bernie is playing a charity softball game and concert at The Ridgefield Playhouse.  The game starts at 1pm on the field next to the Playhouse and the performance is later that night at 8pm.  (Wow – the concert conflicts with the time for game 2 of the ALDS!)  The game is reputed to be played by Bernie Williams and Friends, but I haven’t been able to find out exactly who that means.

Bernie Williams Allusion on The West Wing

Ever watch that show The West Wing?  I watched the hell out of that show – you can’t beat Martin Sheen!!

Anyway, check out this scene – Martin Sheen’s character, President Bartlett, makes a great allusion to Bernie Williams to make a fantastic point.

President Bartlet: The center fielder for the Yankees is an accomplished classical guitarist. People who like baseball can’t like books?

Bernie Williams to be inducted into the the Latino Baseball Hall of Fame

Bernie Williams has been named to the 2012 class of the Latino Baseball Hall of Fame.  He will be inducted on Feb. 11, 2012 at a ceremony in the Dominican Republic.

Finally, Bernie is getting inducted into a hall of fame!  That’s one to check off the list – now we just have to work on getting his number retired and Cooperstown!
